Cocobay Clean Certificate

All common areas including lobby areas, restaurants, bars, pools, fitness facilities and beaches will be cleaned and sanitized several times daily to meet our Cocobay Clean Certificate standards

Under strict supervision from our health and safety officers, high-touch surfaces, high use items and frequently visited areas will be routinely sanitized.
Each Cocobay cottage will be assigned a professional and thorough housekeeping team that will deep clean and disinfect every aspect of the room at appropriate intervals.
All guest touch points will be cleaned with advanced-grade disinfectant products that eliminate viral pathogens and contaminants.
Hygiene items including masks, sanitizers and other essentials will be made available for guests.
The resort will utilize occupancy limitations and room rotations to ensure adequate time between use of cottages for daily opening to the sunlight and sea breeze.

Dining & Distancing

The open air restaurant terraces and unique food and beverage offerings at Cocobay will be subjected to the the highest food safety and sanitation standards and spacing guidelines.

To ensure the safety of guests and staff, our F&B team will take further measures to control capacity and cleanliness in the public restaurants as well as private dining facilities
A minimum separation of dining tables will be enforced across the Rafters Restaurant and Bar, Sunset Pool Pizza Pub and Bacardi Bar, Sheer Rocks Restaurant and all other pop up dining locations around the resort.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will all be à la carte and there will be additional opportunities for floating pool options, private and premium dinners and other in room offerings upon request.
We will continuously update our standard operating procedures to include increased use of disposable items, reduction of unnecessary touch points and advanced training for staff in the safe execution of all dining offerings.

Social Spacing & Sanitized Services

In line with guidelines from local authorities and international partners, Cocobay is committed to adhering to social distancing protocols for all activities throughout the resort:

Use of lobbies, restaurants, bars, pool areas, beach and watersports facilities and other public areas will be monitored by management and health officials for capacity and proximity limitations.
Hand sanitizer dispensers will be available at check-in areas, washrooms, dining locations and other key areas to encourage guests to sanitize their hands regularly.
To encourage physical distancing, furniture in common areas will be rearranged or restricted to ensure a safe distance between guests.
Guest briefings, resort activities and dining times may be staggered throughout the day or controlled via reservations.

While wellness areas and activities continue to feature in your Cocobay Resort experience, temporary restrictions may be placed on some of our wellness offerings. This may include:

Reduced availability of intimate, high touch services such as massages and in Spa treatments
Substitution of typically crowded off resort excursions for nature walks and hikes
Controlled access to fitness facilities, aerobics classes and morning yoga
Encouraged use of private cottage plunge pools

Fortunately, our gardens, grounds and green spaces will be fully at your disposal, providing an abundance of immune system boosting sunlight, clean air and ocean breeze. Cocobay is surrounded by miles of pristine beaches with white sand and gorgeous blue waters that will do wonders for your physical and mental health. And our watersports team will be on hand to ensure that you can safely exercise, explore and enjoy nature utilizing our safe and sanitized watersports equipment.

What We’re Doing For Staff

The team at Cocobay is our most valuable asset and over the years we’ve become a family built on comraderie, trust and commitment to exceptional service. Health, safety and cleanliness have always been at the forefront of our operations and we’ve established strict hygiene protocols, stringent distancing rules and guest interaction guidelines to limit any potential spread of germs or viral contaminants:

All employees will be processed through security check points where they will undergo health screenings and temperature checks
Minimum touch options will be encouraged at staff security check points (e.g. iris scans instead of fingerprint scanning at timeclocks).
We will continue to enforce strict hygiene practices such as frequent cleansing of hands, as well as disinfecting of tools and wearing of masks at all times.
Daily briefings and checklists will be focused on ensuring that there are clear channels of communication and contact regarding any staff or guest concerns.
We have implemented thorough cleaning and sanitation processes for staff areas, and standardized the use of masks and other personal protective equipment (ppe).
Staff transportation, dining and other employee related programmes will continuously be revised for adherence to these guidelines and training will be increased in relevant areas.

What To Expect When You Get To Antigua

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda continuously updates its travel advisories to ensure the continued safety of travelers and residents:

All arriving passengers must be fully vaccinated and present a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken within four (4) days of their flight.
RT-PCR tests for SARS-COV-2 must be done using a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab by a medical professional. Rapid Tests and Home test kits are not valid for entry.
Fully vaccinated passengers arriving with a negative PCR Test and staying at an approved/certified accommodation will not need to quarantine and may go on certified/approved tours, excursions, and visit stores, restaurants, etc.
All arriving passengers must complete a Health Declaration Form and will be subject to screening and temperature checks by Health Authorities upon arrival in Antigua and Barbuda.
All arriving passengers will be monitored for COVID-19 for periods of up to 14 days in accordance with the directions of the Quarantine Authority and the Quarantine (COVID-19) Guidelines. Visitors may be required to undergo testing for COVID-19 on arrival or at the hotel or place of lodging as determined by the Health Authorities.
Arriving passengers with COVID-19 symptoms may be isolated as determined by Authorities.
